An inflammatory skin condition characterized by skin eruptions around hair follicles is commonly called acne. While many adults stuggle with acne, acne is most common in teenagers as well. At puberty the condition usually begins and may continue for many years. Probably caused by hormonal changes that stimulate the sebaceous, affecting three out of four teenagers causing acne to some extent. Oil producing glands in the skin, Menstrual periods, Pregnancy, Birth Control Pills, Stress, or other Hormonal Changes can cause Acne.

Because oil and skin cells accumulate faster than they can exit, acne is caused when those glands within the pores of the skin become plugged. The hair follicle begins to bulge causing whiteheads. Sometimes appearing dark, especiallyat the top of the plug, causing blackheads. Found normally on the surface of the skin bacteria can enter the skin and form small infected areas called pustules. If the plug causes the wall of the follicle to rupture, the oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. create acne also known as pimples. They may enlarge to form firm, painful cysts if these infected areas are deep enough in the skin.

Extending sometimes to the trunk, arms and legs, acne commonly appears on the face and shoulders. We offer many advanced acne treatments for the removal of acne.
