Dr. Doug Knox is a native of Kansas City. He attended the University of Kansas as an undergraduate in Biology and went on to the University of Kansas School of Medicine receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1991. He completed residency training in Family Medicine in 1994 and has had an active practice in Family Medicine and Obstetrics since then. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Knox continues an active participation in Emergency Medicine which he began in 1992. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Dr. Knox also has a passion for Sports Medicine. He has been an enthusiastic member of the medical staff of the Kansas City Wizards Soccer Team in Major League Soccer and has been the team physician for the Kansas City Explorers World Team Tennis franchise over the past four years. Dr. Knox is also an accomplished tennis player.

In recent years, Dr. Knox has developed a special interest in cosmetics and aesthetics, including medically based weight loss and the treatment of obesity. He became the Medical Director of Aestheticare Medi-Spa & LipoDissolve Center in the Fall of 2006 and is now owner of AesthetiCare, PA. In 2006 he began studies in Phlebology, the study of veins and venous disease, and he became a member of the American College of Phlebology in February 2007. He opened his vascular clinic, The Vein & Laser Institute, in Leawood, Kansas, also in early 2007.

Dr. Knox is recognized for his thoroughness and excellence in patient care. He believes in taking his time and truly listening to the concerns of his patients. He has developed and excellence reputation in the medical community and brings a great deal of knowledge and enthusiasm to AesthetiCare.

Sarah Skillett, RN, CLT, is the clinical director of AesthetiCare Medi-Spa&LipoDissolve Center. Sarah received her formal training locally at St. Luke's School of Nursing. Her commitment to excellence led to a successful career in nursing and pharmaceutical sales before finding her true calling in the ever-changing field of medical aesthetics.

Sarah has become one of the Midwest's most skilled experts in advanced aesthetic procedures including: Botox® injections, fillers such as Restylane® and Radiesseo, skin rejuvenation laser procedures including the MicroLaser Peel, radio frequency tissue tightening (Thermage®), and much more.

This has enabled Sarah to excel in this exciting field, and she looks forward to continuing her education and advancing her skills so she can provide the service and results that her clients have come to expect.

When not devoting her attention to delivering the highest level of quality care to clients, Sarah can be found spending time with her family, riding motorcycles, playing with her new puppy or tending the garden of her Lenexa home.

Faith Hibschle, RN, CLT, ACLS,LPN began her career in aesthetics as a cosmetologist in Mission, Kansas in 1982, before deciding to seek a career in health care. Faith completed her LPN training and worked at KU Medical center while she continued pursuing her nursing degree. She then earned her ADN from Minneapolis Community College in 1995. Having first practiced in Minnesota as an R.N.with hemodialysis and cardiopulmonary/intubated patients, Faith moved back to Kansas City in 1997. Here, she has practiced simultaneously on the cardiopulmonary unit at St. Joseph Medical Center and as a nurse with the Kansas City Heart Group. Pursuing her ongoing passion for aesthetics, she has joined the state and nationwide divisions of the Aesthetics Nursing Association and has worked in the medical aesthetics community here in Kansas City since 2004. Faith has received extensive, hands-on training and is experienced in Botox® and Restylane® injections, laser hair removal, dermatological chemical peels, Thermage®, and microdermabrasion. Faith feels as strongly about ongoing education as she does about the demographically-driven, growing need for aesthetic care. Recently, Faith has completed advanced training as follows:

Claudia Barrera began her skin care career with the ultra-chic Mario Triccoci Day Spa in Chicago in 1992, relocating with the company to Kansas City in 1997. Her excitement and ambition were quickly recognized by the company and she was given many opportunities within the organization. During her 15 years with Mario Triccoci Claudia served in many capacities. She quickly became one of the most sought-after make-up artists in Kansas City. She also held the positions of department manager as well as Director and Esthetics Trainer.

Claudia completed her skin care education with Johnson County Community College. Her solid foundation in skin care, combined with her many years of experience and advanced training has allowed Claudia to make a name for herself in the community as one of the area’s premier skin-care providers. She offers renowned facials, skin-care treatments, waxing and make-up applications.

Claudia truly has a vision for overcoming any beauty challenge and through educating her clients, she is able to create a very personalized treatment and skin-care regimen that will truly deliver results. Her passion for skin care combined with her commitment to providing excellent customer service has certainly allowed her to become a leader in the fast growing, ever-changing field of aesthetics.

Kendall began her career in the skincare industry in 1995. After receiving her esthetician license, she completed a one-year apprenticeship at the prestigious Beau Monde Day Spa in Wichita, Kansas. She spent three years mastering her facial and waxing services before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota. She broadened her skills in a management position for Stila Cosmetics at the Nordstrom located in the Mall of America. She continued her esthetician career when she returned to Kansas in 1999. For the last eight years, Kendall has become proficient in Microdermabrasion, facials, waxing and peels while working for day spas in the Kansas City and Wichita areas. She has built a loyal following of clients in the Kansas City area. At AesthetiCare, we are excited to have Kendall join our experienced staff. Kendall is a mother of two children and she loves spending time with her family.

Matt is a 1987 graduate of the University of Kansas. After spending 10 years in sales, marketing, and product development, Matt incorporated Aesthetic Consulting Group(ACG) in 1998. ACG has become one of the countryÕs leading aesthetic training and consulting companies with clients in nearly all 50 states. In 2001, Matt incorporated AesthetiCare (AC) in the Kansas City area due to his desire to provide a business model and training center for the clients of ACG. AesthetiCare has evolved into a full-service aesthetic center that has built a reputation of exceptional customer service and results-oriented aesthetic treatments. AesthetiCare is an advanced training center for physicians and their staffs from across the country and offers the most experienced and well-trained staff in the Midwest. Matt is active in the day-to-day operation of AesthetiCare and looks forward to continued growth as well as always offering the newest and most effective treatments for his clients.
